Michaleen’s genius is so amazing that, as a bride, I had no idea how much last minute effort went into setting up the venue. I didn’t find out until well after the wedding that my caterer didn’t bother to go through the boxes of decorations and carefully detailed instructions that I left, until Michaleen stepped in and set everything up exactly how I envisioned. When I walked into the ballroom, everything looked magnificent and I kept marvelling over all the extra little touches that made my wedding so memorable. The peace of mind that comes from putting the stresses of the day in the hands of a trustworthy and capable person like Michaleen is completely priceless. -Jenny P.

Michaleen was such an amazing person to find on my journey down to the altar. I had a very, very clear idea of what I wanted my wedding to be, so didn’t need help as much in terms of inspiration, but more in terms of helping that vision become a reality; all while keeping me sane and on budget! Michaleen got who we were and what we wanted immediately. It was always so obvious that she had our intentions at heart, rather than trying to make her intentions ours.
On the wedding day, I felt completely at ease with Michaleen supervising all aspects of the set-up of the reception space, greeting guests, making sure the “flow” of the evening went well – she seemed to be in all places at all times. The biggest compliment I can pay her is that I didn’t even notice she was there! We had so many amazing compliments on our wedding, mainly that we had such a warm, welcoming and laid-back vibe, exactly what I was going for, but I knew there was NO way I could get that vibe without having someone behind the scenes making sure my husband and I (and our family and friends) didn’t have to worry about a thing.
Things will go wrong on your wedding day – it’s inevitable. A good Day of Coordinator finds those things before they happen and if they do happen, makes sure no one (especially the bride and groom!) ever knows. I can tell you that I still am looking for the one thing that went wrong on our wedding day because it all seemed perfect to me. And for someone on a budget AND high maintenance like myself, I’m still in awe of that. Thanks Michaleen! – Erin H.

Michaleen was my day-of-coordinator, and she took care of absolutely everything. I had absolutely no doubt in the days leading up to the wedding that should something unexpected happen or should something go wrong, Michaleen would handle it using excellent judgment. I knew that I could completely trust her to make an executive decision, which meant that I could completely relax and enjoy my wedding, which I did!
Michaleen is also very creative and has a lot of great ideas, and really truly seemed to want my wedding to go exactly how I wanted it to; it wasn’t just another job for her. Even though the package we agreed on was just a day-of coordination one, she never tried to nickel and dime me, and checked in on me often in the days leading up to the wedding to see if I needed any help with last minute preparations.
At the wedding itself, she was very professional, but also friendly and warm and smiley, and seemed to be everywhere at once. When I arrived at the reception venue, she was immediately by my side with a glass of water in one hand and a glass of champagne in the other; it was exactly what I needed at that moment! Also, at one point, a server spilled some green salad dressing on my dress and purse (yeah, I know!), and within literally 2 seconds, she was by my side with club soda and napkins; I hadn’t even realized she had seen it happen! And most amazing of all, after getting the salad dressing off of my purse, I guess the beads had started to come off, because one of my bridesmaids found Michaleen in the bathroom, sewing the beads back onto my purse!
I really can’t recommend Michaleen enough – she is super organized, classy, and professional, and I honestly trusted her completely to handle anything that might have come up – and that’s saying a lot for someone who planned the wedding herself, and felt like it was her “baby”! – Jenny W.
